Dr. Suzanna Brown

Suzanna F. Brown DVM has been actively involved in the veterinary profession for 20 years.  She is a life-long resident of Atlantic County and a 1998 graduate of the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.  She earned her degree in veterinary medicine from Iowa State University in 2003.  Dr. Brown is also federally-accredited to perform veterinary duties for the United States Department of Agriculture-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS).

After graduation, Dr. Brown practiced in Egg Harbor Twp. for 3 years as an associate veterinarian.  She then developed a vision and a plan to provide the most exceptional care for companion animals in the south Jersey area, and opened Best Friends Veterinary Hospital in early 2007.  Today, the practice is in high-demand and growing, thanks to her loyal clientele and caring, expert team of veterinary healthcare professionals.

Dr. Brown lives in Cologne with her husband, Deniz, their twin daughters Brooklyn and Cheyenne, and a cat named Snickers.  She is an avid stand-up paddleboarder.  Her other personal interests and activities include spending time with her family at the beach, canoeing and camping, and exploring the natural beauty of the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

Our team:

Katelyn Gregory is the newest member of our
team, who aspires to one day become a Certified
Veterinary Technician. She is currently a 
student at ACC and will soon be transferring 
into the Veterinary Technician program at 
Camden County College. Katelyn's family owns
Gregory's Restaurant in Somers Point and she
has a second job there as a waitress. Since 
being a child she has always wanted to work with
animals and is excited to finally have the chance.
Katelyn lives in EHT with her family and an 
adorable Corgi dog that she adopted in Florida. 



Sandy D'Amico is our Hospital Manager and a veterinary technician.  She and Dr. Brown have been working together since 1993 and she has over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field.  Sandy lives in Egg Harbor Twp. with her husband, 2 poodles named Mickey and Millie, 3 indoor cats and many outdoor cats that she cares for.  She enjoys the beach and boardwalk and likes to spend time with her children and grandchildren. 

Kathryn Wright has been with our practice for several years now.  You may often see her at the front desk but she has developed into a skilled veterinary technician as well and frequently works alongside the doctors.  Kathryn runs her own pet sitting business and enjoys reading, going to the beach and listening to music in her spare time.  She lives in Smithville and has a cat named Abraham.

Nicole Bernardini is one of our veterinary technicians, having recently graduated from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a degree in Biology.  She has a Shiba Inu, a Puggle, a Yorkie, two cats and a chinchilla whom she loves very much! Growing up, she has always had a passion for animals and their well-being which is the driving force to her wanting to one day become a veterinarian. She currently lives in Galloway Twp. and her interests are taking her dogs to the beach, cars, and learning about veterinary science.
